Royal Crown of the Netherlands
Bonebakker receives in 1840 the honorable assignment to manufacture the crown of the Netherlands
As early as the nineteenth century Bonebakker Jewelers received numerous prestigious commissions culminating in a new crown for King Willem II, which he wore for his coronation on 28 November 1840.
You can admire the drawing of this crown at the Bonebakker Salon in the Conservatorium Hotel.
On April 30th 2013 during the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander the crown has been presented again on the credens table among the other royal regalia.
For this special moment in Dutch history Bonebakker Jewelers presents the Bonebakker Regalia Collection, unique pieces of jewellery based on the Royal Crown from 1840.
