07 Mar Buccellati: colourful presence at TEFAF 2026
Anyone familiar with the world of high jewellery knows there is one name that effortlessly unites Italian refinement, centuries‑old craftsmanship and artistic daring: Buccellati. The Maison is showing its most colourful side at TEFAF 2026. Buccellati is no stranger to the renowned Maastricht art, antiques and design fair, The European Fine Art Foundation (TEFAF): from 1992 to 2014, it was a regular exhibitor. In 2025, the house returned to the fair, and this year Buccellati is once again proudly present.
Visitors who find themselves inspired by Buccellati at TEFAF and then visit our salon in Amsterdam will be welcomed with true Italian hospitality: a perfect espresso or a glass of Franciacorta. And for those who make a purchase, a special TEFAF offer awaits until 1 April.
Gianmaria Buccellati
Founded in Milan in 1919, Buccellati is renowned for its hand‑engraved gold, lace‑like textures and timeless elegance — craftsmanship passed down through generations. Under the leadership of Gianmaria Buccellati, the visionary figure who shaped the Maison, colour took on a new meaning. For him, colour was never mere decoration, but emotion — a way to tell stories and celebrate the multifaceted nature of femininity. His work continues to form the creative backbone of the brand. This year, Gianmaria is honoured with a collection that proudly bears his name.
Buccellati at TEFAF 2026: an ode to creativity
At TEFAF 2026, Buccellati presents a selection that honours the creative genius of Gianmaria Buccellati. The collection reveals how his vision — rich in colour, texture and symbolism — remains vibrantly alive today. Among the high‑jewellery creations that embody Gianmaria’s aesthetic are some of his most iconic designs. These include a rigid bangle bracelet from the 1960s in yellow and white gold, set with emeralds and diamonds, and a yellow‑ and white‑gold necklace from the 1970s adorned with tourmalines and diamonds.

The Mosaico Collection
An explosion of colour inspired by both ancient mosaics and the psychedelic light play of the 1960s and ’70s, designed by Andrea Buccellati. The Rococo‑inspired gold borders, richly engraved and adorned with garlands, take on a more streamlined character and a distinctly geometric silhouette. Floral motifs transform into stars or sunbeams, while Rococo ornamentation is deconstructed and rendered in a more abstract form.
Within this collection, the pendant earrings, the flexible bracelet and the necklace stand out — a complete Mosaico ensemble crafted in white and yellow gold and set with diamonds. Together, they showcase the masterful technique and innovative vision of the third generation of designers led by Andrea Buccellati.
Buccellati: art, texture and colour
Buccellati is distinguished by a style that is instantly recognisable: finely engraved surfaces, lace‑like patterns, rich textures and a near‑Renaissance approach to goldsmithing. The jewellery is still crafted entirely by hand by master artisans who use techniques dating back to the Italian goldsmiths of the 16th century. As a result, each piece feels like a work of art — an heirloom meant to be passed down through generations.

The Doge Silverware Collection
An homage to Venetian splendour, in which silver is crafted with the same refinement as Buccellati’s jewellery. The collection includes centrepieces, vases, candlesticks and frames, where silver is combined with inlays of lapis lazuli, malachite, carnelian and Osmeña pearls, resulting in sculptural creations of exceptional artistry. For this edition of TEFAF, Buccellati presents a magnificent vase from the same collection, crafted in silver by Andrea Buccellati in 2025 and further enriched with oval rouches‑set bezels adorned with jasper.
For lovers of high jewellery, Buccellati’s presentation at TEFAF offers a rare opportunity to admire these masterpieces up close.
