The ‘Mokum’ signet ring is a tribute to 750 years of Amsterdam’s extraordinary legacy. Expertly hand-engraved, the ring bears the significant years 1275 and 2025, alongside the revered name ‘Mokum’—a moniker long cherished by those who hold Amsterdam dear.

The small square model is available from 960 euro (9ct) to 2.650 euro (18ct gold), the large rectangular model from 1.650 euro (9ct to 4.200 euro (18 ct gold), dependent on the ring size and the current gold price. We are happy to advise you.

‘Amstelredamme, daer stad moet komen.’ According to legend, these were the prophetic words of a fisherman, foretelling that where the Aelmere (now known as the IJ) meets the Amstel River, a grand city would rise. That city became ‘Amstelredamme’ or Amsterdam.

Bonebakker’s own legacy is intertwined with Amsterdam’s rich history. In 1806, Adrianus Bonebakker, our esteemed founder, crafted the silver city key presented to Emperor Napoleon by the city of Amsterdam. In 1818, his artistry shaped an elaborate 419-piece silver service for Crown Prince Willem and his consort, Anna Paulowna. And in 1840, he was entrusted with the creation of the crown for King Willem II.
